CUSAT Hiring for Research Positions in Aquatic Vaccine Development and ICMR Projects

  1. Centre for Aquatic Vaccine Development
    • Positions Available: 1 Postdoctoral Research Fellow (PDF) and 1 Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
    • Project Focus: Vaccine development for diseases in aquaculture
  2. ICMR, India
    • Positions Available: 2 Junior Research Fellows (JRF)
    • Project Focus: Synergistic action of Fucoidan-Alkyl Glycerol complex and their implications in the management of cognitive dysfunctions

Positions Available:

  • 1 Postdoctoral Research Fellow (PDF)
  • 3 Junior Research Fellows (JRF) (Unreserved)

Nature and Period of the Post:

Temporary appointment for a period of one year with a possibility of extension for 2 more years. Extension is subject to satisfactory performance.

Fellowship:

  • PDF: Rs. 45,000/pm consolidated
  • JRF (NET candidates): Rs. 25,000/pm consolidated
  • JRF (Non-NET candidates): Rs. 17,500/pm consolidated

Required Qualifications:

  • PDF: First class PhD degree in any life sciences with at least 2 first author published papers.
  • JRF: First class Master’s degree in any life sciences. Fresh PhD scholars with desirable experience are also eligible. Candidates with NET/CSIR/UGC/ICMR qualifications and experience will be given preference.

Desirable Qualifications:

Hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques such as PCR, Real-Time PCR, ELISA, Western blotting, fish handling, dissections, and histology.

PhD Registration/International Exchange:

Selected candidates with NET will register for a full-time PhD program at CUSAT. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work at the project collaborators’ labs in Belgium, Germany, or the UK. Relaxation in age as per GoI rules.
