Kerala University Scientist Rajeev Raghavan Recognized in Stanfords Worlds Top 2 Scientists List

In the recently released 2023 edition of the Stanford University World Top 2% Scientists Database, Assistant Professor Rajeev Raghavan from the Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (Kufos) has achieved notable recognition. The database comprises two distinguished lists—one reflecting career-long achievements and the other highlighting scientists’ performance in 2022.

Rajeev Raghavan has secured a position in both lists, an honour shared by approximately 50 other scientists from Kerala in the ‘career-long database’ and around 70 scientists in the ‘year 2022 database.’

Internationally acclaimed for his research on the taxonomy and conservation of freshwater fishes in the Western Ghats, Rajeev boasts an impressive portfolio of nearly 200 publications. His dual recognition underscores not only his significant contributions over the years but also his outstanding performance in the field in 2022.

This achievement not only brings prestige to Rajeev Raghavan but also reflects positively on the scientific community and research endeavours in Kerala.
