WALK IN INTERVIEW FOR YOUNG PROFESSIONALS IN EMPOWERING WOMEN IN FISHERIES PROJECT

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the temporary post of Young Professionals (02 Nos.) on a contractual basis for the project titled “Harnessing Climate Finance for Financial Inclusion of Small-Scale Fish Processors: Empowering Women in Fisheries”, funded by the Bimstec India Marine Research Network Twinning Research Grant (BOBP-BIMREN).

Project Details

  • Duration: 24 months
  • Tenure: Initially for 1 year (up to October 2025) and likely to be extended until October 2026.

Young Professional-I

  • Fellowship: Rs. 30,000/- (Consolidated)
  • Essential Qualification:
  1. Sc. in Fisheries/Agriculture/Home Science/Community Development/BSW/BA Sociology/BA Economics.
  2. Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing Malayalam/Tamil and English.
  • Desirable Qualification:
  1. Willingness to travel frequently and stay in fisher villages of Kerala and Tamil Nadu during the tenure for data collection and training programs.
  2. Prior experience in questionnaire-based field surveys and data collection from villages.
  3. Knowledge of the latest data collection and analysis tools/AI tools.
  4. Master’s degree in the notified qualifications.
  5. Work experience in similar projects.

Age Limit

  • Age Range: 21 to 45 years as of 17.12.2024.
  • Age relaxation as per GoI norms:
    • OBC: 3 years
    • SC/ST: 5 years

 

Terms & Conditions

  1. Registration Timing: 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM on the day of the interview.
  2. Interview Date and Time:12.2024 at 10:30 AM.
  3. Candidates must be willing to undertake research in assigned areas and travel extensively.
  4. Documents Required:
    • Self-attested copies of certificates for age, educational qualification, and caste (SC/ST/OBC).
    • Original certificates for verification.
    • Detailed bio-data with a recent passport-size photo, thesis/project report, and publications.
  5. The post is purely temporary and contractual under ICAR norms.
  6. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
  7. The decision of the Director, CIFT will be final regarding the selection.
