Minister Rupala Vows Long Term Fishing Advancements for Chintapalli Village in Vizianagaram District

Union Minister Parshottam Rupala, during his recent sojourn to Chintapalli village in Vizianagaram district, has pledged a sustained boost to the local fishing sector by ensuring the establishment of a permanent fishing jetty. This commitment is part of the broader Sagar Parikrama initiative, where the minister actively engaged with the village’s fishing community to gain valuable insights into their challenges and aspirations.

In a press briefing, Minister Rupala shared the outcomes of his extensive 7,000 km odyssey across India, highlighting the pivotal economic roles played by both dairy farmers and fishermen in rural and coastal landscapes, respectively.

Emphasizing the government’s unwavering dedication, Rupala revealed a substantial financial allocation specifically directed towards Andhra Pradesh. These funds are earmarked for bolstering fisheries infrastructure, extending from Nellore to Srikakulam districts along the coastal stretch.

Before his visit to Chintapalli, the minister conducted a thorough examination of facilities in Budagatlapalem, Srikakulam district, with a focus on evaluating the groundwork for a potential fishing harbor. The visit also included productive interactions with BJP leaders, where the district president, Birlangi Umamaheswara Rao, provided an insightful overview of the party’s ongoing initiatives in the region.
