Recruitment at Central Agricultural University, Imphal

Applications are invited in the prescribed form for filling up various posts at Central Agricultural University, Imphal. The duly completed application form in the prescribed format, along with self-attested copies of educational qualifications, certificates, mark sheets, age proof certificate, caste/tribe certificate, two recent passport-size photographs, and other testimonials, should be submitted along with the prescribed fee of Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 500/- for SC/ST/PWD) and NIL fee for women candidates. Applications should reach the office of the Registrar, Central Agricultural University, Lamphelpat, Imphal, Manipur, on or before 19.09.2024. Payment of the fee may be made through online/State Bank Collect SBI (payment guidelines may be downloaded from the website www.cau.ac.in).

Essential Qualifications for Dean:

• Doctorate Degree in the relevant subject, including relevant basic sciences.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in teaching/research in the subject, out of which at least 5 years should be in the rank of Professor or equivalent.
• Outstanding contributions in research as evidenced by published papers in national/international journals of repute/books or development of technology.

Desirable Qualifications for Dean:

• Administrative experience in a responsible position in an agricultural university/college.
• Familiarity with the latest advances in agricultural exposure and developments.

Essential Qualifications for Director:

• Doctorate Degree in any branch of Agricultural Science/Horticulture/Home Science/Agricultural Engineering/Fisheries/Veterinary Sciences, including relevant basic sciences.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in teaching/research/extension education in the concerned discipline, out of which at least 10 years should be in teaching in an agricultural university system and at least 5 years should be in the rank of Professor or equivalent.
• Outstanding contributions as evidenced by published papers in professional/national/international journals of repute/books or technology developed.

Desirable Qualifications for Director:

• Experience of guiding post-graduate research work.
• Administrative experience in a responsible position in an agricultural university/college.
• Familiarity with the latest advances in agricultural exposure and developments.

• Candidates already in service should submit their applications through the proper channel.
• Incomplete applications, applications not in the prescribed form, applications received after the due date, and applications without the prescribed application fee will not be considered.
• The university reserves the right to fill or not to fill up any post without assigning any reason, and also reserves the right to withdraw the advertisement partially or in full at any point in time by putting the notice on its website.
• No interim correspondence shall be entertained.
• The age of superannuation for Dean and Director is 65 years. The appointment of Dean and Director shall be for a term of five years and shall be eligible for reappointment.
